As my eyebrows are a main feature of my face and bleached eyebrows have been featured at SS/15 fashion week, I decided to block out my eyebrows using soap and camouflage concealer. I made sure my eyebrows were clean and brushed though before applying the soap in an upward motion to flatten the hairs. I used my ring finger to really flatten the hairs down. Once the soap was dry, I applied D32 over my entire eyebrow as this would add natural tones into the dark eyebrows. I then stippled over Kryolan Derma concealers that would later match the foundation shade I would be applying. I set the concealer with powder then applied a foundation shade that was lighter than my natural skin tone to my face and neck. I then concealed under my eyes using D32 and shade D1 Derma Camouflage Creme for a light flawless base.
Next, I moved onto my eye makeup. I filled my entire lid and blocked out eyebrow with Shell from my Ben Nye Glam Shadow palette to even out the colour and further conceal my eyebrows, then swept Mink Stole over my lid. Once again, I chose this shade of brown as it was not a warm brown. I then lined my top lash line with Blacktrack to add some depth to the eye makeup, as my eye area looked washed out due to not having any eyebrows!
To stick with the cold icy theme, I lined my waterline with a pure white pencil because I thought lining the eye with any other colour would add too much depth and glamour to the makeup, which I wanted to look cold and unapproachable. I then used the same Mink Stole shade to further contour my cheek bones.
Next, I moved onto the lip, which I wanted to be bold and striking as well as cool and icy, so I lined my lips using a black liner and filled them using Blacktrack. I opted to use this product as it has real depth of colour- I think a black lipstick may have appeared a bit sheer. To further enhance the lip, I applied an ample amount of clear gloss to add maximum shine and impact.
To complete the look, I used eye lash glue to stick small black feathers to the outer corners of my eyes to act as an extended liner. I think the use of a fluffy texture added to the cold feel I was trying to create, It also juxtaposed well with the glossy, sharp lip.
To compliment the makeup and fit the 'Black Ice' theme, I wrapped black furs all around me. If I were to choose a set to feature this look, I would set it against a bleak snowy back drop. I think this isolated scene would work well with the cold, unapproachable makeup look.
